late, late, later

“I spend a lot of time saving time. I have a filing cabinet full of clocks and watches.”  - Jarod Kintz

I wanted to share a favorite recipe this week but plans didn't quite work out!
I rushed around in a blur of domestic activity and not much creativity.

I feel like this logo on my hall clock: running from one activity to the next
(slightly lopsided too!)
Lovely hubby is again away for work;
 boys each had a day off school with throaty viral things;
the cat and dog used up a day with check-ups at the vets
 or as they say here veterinarians.
(The former implies soldiers who have 'done' battle - bit how I felt this week!)

Beauty but a terror. Those paws dip into the fish tank. No casualties - yet!

It's now the weekend: time to wind down and recharge.
Perhaps a bit of sewing and making that recipe.
I look forward to that!

a clue for next week... (photo courtesy of amazon)

  2. Oh that tin!!
    We refer to the vets as the V.E.T because everyone knows cats cannot spell. Thanks for dropping by my blog today.

    1. Nothing in the post box yet! It usually takes about 10 days but we've had 2 big snow storms which seems to delay things. Will let you know as soon as it's here! x

  4. Hi Tanya,

    I just found your blog, and am looking forward to read about your "mum" adventures in the land of "moms." Many years ago I moved from the land of "moms" to the Canadian land of "mums." It's always interesting looking at a different culture from the inside out.

    And Canadians say vet as well. Until you mentioned it I had actually forgotten that Americans tend to say veterinarian.

  5. Your cat's eyes are incredible. What a wonderful capture! We've just enjoyed a beautiful Summer in sunny Australia, it's hard to imagine the snow fall you've hard. I've loved being whisked away on a white adventure with a cup of tea by my side whilst scrolling through your blog.
